ABOUT ME
I started assisting as a wedding photographer in 1998 as a favor to a friend who was a wedding photographer. I never thought I would want to shoot other people's weddings as the main or lead photographer. The thought of dealing with Bridezillas and overbearing mothers wasn't really my cup of tea.

My friend moved to Minnesota in 2002 and after that I was content with my work as a freelance photojournalist and didn't plan on shooting a wedding ever again.

That all changed in 2004 when I shot two weddings for friends of mine and got married myself. Getting married changed the way I viewed weddings. So with a few referrals coming in from my friends & the photographer who moved, I started shooting weddings in 2004.

I hesitate to refer to myself as a wedding photographer, as I work in several different photographic fields. Plainly put, I am a photographer. A photographer with a passion for documenting life and a serious passion for the medium of photography, from the shot to the print. Capturing a wedding or any event, for me, is as much an art form as it is something you need a technical expertise in.

I've been a professional photographer since 1996. I received a degree in photojournalism from Columbia College 1998. My client list includes NASA, De Paul University, Chicago Youth Centers & IIT, to name a few. My photography has appeared in several magazines & Chicago newspapers, from Crane's to the Tribune, and I'll give your wedding the same attention I did for those jobs and more.

ABOUT WHAT I DO
I document your special day from start to finish. This means that with exception to your bridal party photos, little else will be posed. Smiles, laughs & tears will be captured. Photos shot from below, above or behind will be taken. Moments funny & serious will be preserved forever.

"Photojournalistic Style" seems to be the "it" word, these days, in the wedding photography world. The fact is; "Photojournalism" is a profession, not a photographic style. My style is my style and my job as the photographer at your wedding is to document that moment in your life.
